TERMS OF USE & BOAT RENTAL AGREEMENT

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before accessing our website or making a reservation. By using this website or completing a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in full and without reservation.

2. Scope of Services
Coast2Coast, established in Halkidiki, Greece, provides recreational boat rental services in accordance with applicable Greek and European legislation, including Law 4256/2014 on professional recreational vessels and any other applicable provisions.
This website constitutes the official online booking platform of the company. These Terms govern all rental agreements concluded through it.
3. Rental Conditions
3.1 Eligibility & Identification
Boat rentals are available exclusively to individuals aged 18 years or older. Upon collection of the vessel, the renter must present:

A valid national ID card or passport

A valid boating license (where required depending on the vessel category)

A valid driver’s license or secondary identification (if requested)
3.2 Boating License Requirement
For vessels with engine power exceeding 30 HP or a length greater than 7 meters, a valid speedboat operator’s license or equivalent certification is required, in accordance with Presidential Decree 23/1999, as amended.
The license requirement is clearly indicated on each vessel’s listing. The Company reserves the right to refuse delivery of the vessel if the renter fails to provide the required documentation, without obligation to issue a refund beyond the provisions set out in the Cancellation Policy.
3.3 Passenger & Weight Limits
The maximum number of passengers and total permissible weight for each vessel are specified on the respective product page. Exceeding these limits is strictly prohibited and constitutes grounds for immediate termination of the rental agreement without refund. The renter shall bear full responsibility for any resulting damage, loss, or incident.
4. Insurance Coverage
All vessels are covered by mandatory third-party liability insurance in accordance with Article 6 of Law 4256/2014.

The insurance does not cover:

Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or intentional acts of the renter or passengers

Damage occurring under the influence of alcohol or drugs

Damage caused by exceeding passenger or weight limits

Damage arising from violation of navigation restrictions

Loss or theft of personal belongings
In such cases, the renter shall be fully liable for all associated costs, including repairs, loss of use, replacement charter costs, and any consequential damages.
5. Obligations and Prohibited Conduct
5.1 Renter Obligations
The renter agrees to:

Operate the vessel with due care and in compliance with all applicable maritime safety regulations

Comply with all applicable laws relating to navigation, fishing, and environmental protection

Return the vessel at the agreed time and in the same condition as received

Immediately notify the Company of any accident, malfunction, or damage, regardless of severity
-
Keep a mobile phone switched on and available for communication at all times
-
Ensure the use of life jackets in adverse weather conditions and by children under 12 years of age (as required by law)
5.2 Prohibited Activities
The following are strictly prohibited:

Operating the vessel under the influence of alcohol or any prohibited substances

Smoking onboard or in proximity to fuel

Subleasing or transferring use of the vessel to third parties

Use of the vessel for commercial purposes
-
Disposal of waste, oil, or any materials into the sea

Exceeding designated navigation limits without prior written authorization

Fishing without a valid license
-
Entering restricted or protected areas
6. Delivery and Redelivery Procedure
6.1 Delivery (Check-in)
The renter must arrive at the designated pick-up location at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. During delivery:

The vessel’s condition is jointly inspected and a Delivery Report is signed
-
The renter is briefed on safety equipment (life jackets, fire extinguisher, flares, etc.)
-
A Renter’s Declaration is signed
-
Any outstanding balance is settled
6.2 Redelivery (Check-out)
The vessel must be returned at the agreed time. Late return charges apply as follows:

Up to 30 minutes delay: charged at half-hour rate
-
Over 30 minutes delay: charged at full hourly rate
-
Over 2 hours without prior notice: may be reported to the authorities and fully charged
7. Liability and Limitation of Liability
The Company shall be liable only for damages directly resulting from its own negligence or willful misconduct.
The Company shall not be liable for:

Accidents, injuries, or death caused by negligence, inexperience, or unlawful conduct of the renter or passengers

Damage to third parties caused by the renter
-
Loss or damage of personal belongings
-
Delays or cancellations due to force majeure events, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, strikes, or governmental orders
In all circumstances, the Company’s total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific rental.
8. Termination of Rental
The Company reserves the right to immediately terminate the rental agreement and request return of the vessel without refund if:

The renter breaches any provision of these Terms

The renter is deemed unfit to safely operate the vessel
-
There is an immediate risk to the safety of passengers or third parties
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Halkidiki.
In the event of a dispute, the parties are encouraged to seek an amicable resolution through the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform:

10. Amendments
The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any modifications shall take effect upon publication on the website. For confirmed bookings, the Terms in force at the time of booking shall apply.
